[Halo] CEL Saison 2008 (long mail, please take time to read it)

Ahoj frisbeejaci,

posilam e-mail, ktery jsme obdrzeli od organizacniho vyboru CELu, at vsichni vite, co se planuje na pristi rok a mate sanci se k tomu vyjadrit, dobrovolne se prihlasit do organizacniho vyberu ci usporadat turnaj.

Pekne prosim Vase pripominky, nabidky kandidatu na mista dobrovolniku, nabidky organizace turnaju, dulezite terminy ci vyhrady zaslete jna: vr at cald.cz.

Za komunikaci s CELem  je v rade odpovedny Cupcak a ja, spolu dame Vase namety dohromady a za CALD zasleme Oddimu.

# In the CEL there are more and more juniors playing. To attract more kids and
# make them develop their skills and their spirit there should be a well
# structured league, so that they train with the goal to partecipate to various
# tournaments, which should be ideally once per month and where at the end they

# I do think that we would have enough teams and enough possibilities to implement
# such a league next year.
# My basic idea is to have a junior division (5v5) in various tournaments (e.g.
# Winter League, CEL round 1 and CEL final).

# in order to have an other good CEL saison and prepar our teams in the best way
# for the EUCR, we must fix very early which and when will be the CEL tournaments

# Let's start from very few fix points:
# - Paganello is from 21st to 24 of march.
# - WUC is from the 2rd till to the 9th of August in Vancouver
# - EUCR should be end of august in Nurnberg

# We are trying to move the Winter League 2008 in April (2-3 weeks after
# paganello), since in this period is quite unrealistical to be able to have
# tournaments on natural grass.

# The 2 CEL rounds (qualifications and finals) should be best mid. of may and
# mid./end of june (no football leagues in June because of the Europan Champs!).
# We should check who could organise them.

# In the last year the final was in Lab(SK), since traditionally the summer
# throphy is in that period.
# There have been many critics against Lab because of the insufficient stadium
# facilities and the security of the complex.
# Even though Mental Discorders made a big effort to run a good tournament, I know

# to a tournament in Lab. I fear that also investing money in security won't make
# the tournament attractive and would make it more expensive. This is why Austria

# Open, Junior and Women division.

# The first round should be in a quite central position and we need also here at

# beginning and not all nations reacted at the same way, but the general response
# is absolutely positive, so we should go on and consolidate this tournament

# guess we could implement something very similar to the EUCR/EUCF bids criteria.
# We do need also to fix the tournament with large advance so that teams can get
# tuned and really prepare to be there.

# have now just a tentative date) and I' put it on the list.
# We'll try to link the tournament calendar of the austrian federation to the

# we saw during the CEL and in Nurnberg that we have now 6-7 open teams who are
# really at the same level of the germans and the danish stars. most teams had
# also many (young) players which used this opportunity to get the feeling and the
# routine of the BIG EVENT.
# We must push much more the women scene and have teams from all nations.
# There are also new nations in the CEL who are pushing us all up with thier
# enthusiasm and I'm sure that next year's CEL will be even more colorful and
# equilibrated as this year.
# My only worries are actually for Hungary, who didn't send any team to any CEL
# event in 2007.
# It would be great to hear about the reasons of it and how is the plan to restart
# the grouth of Ultimate in hungary and how we could support you with it.
